The Lower School is pleased to welcome Ann Pool Waldrep ’99 as a new member of our Pre-K team for the 2011-12 school year. Ann has been an incredibly flexible and talented substitute for us during the past two years.
Ann is enthusiastic, professional, and absolutely thrilled to be joining us on a full time basis. She can’t wait to have her own classroom again and partner with colleagues on a daily basis.
Currently, Ann is buzzing around with the Kindergarten Bees as Mrs. Oakes maternity substitute. While serving as a Pre-K Whoville substitute teacher this fall, Ann has been a wonderful asset to our team. Last year, she served as Science Specialist for our Pre-K through First Grade students. While substitute teaching, Ann has worked extensively with Pre-K, Kindergarten, First Grade and Second Grade Newman students. Ann, a thirteen year Greenie, received her B.S. in Early Childhood Education from the College of Charleston and is near completion of her Masters work.
Ann served as lead teacher for Haynsworth Private School in Greenville, South Carolina and at The New Orleans Jewish Community Center. Ann’s love for teaching and children is evident in the classroom, no matter which room I have found her teaching!
Ann, a former Greenie is over the moon about returning “home” and giving back to her school.
